6 federal departments combined forces to help promote Canada’s leadership and expertise in hydrogen and fuel cell technologies

BACKDROP AND SUPPORTING DISPLAY MATERIALS

Project goal: A group of 6 federal departments combined forces to help promote Canada’s leadership and expertise in hydrogen and fuel cell technologies during a major industry conference held in Vancouver in 2003. These departments required a tradeshow display to express Canada’s interests in this emerging clean energy sector.

Creative approach/execution: On a standard tradeshow display we created a visually captivating backdrop of blue skies and fluffy white clouds (to illustrate a clean environment). On this backdrop we overlaid a compelling key message in both official languages, asking the question: What do you see? Supporting text answered this question with intriguing responses: “hydrogen,” “fuel cells,” “industry,” “clean energy.”

To complement this central backdrop we also created informative banners, which offered at-a-glance information on Canadian innovation, industry progress and Canada’s partnership approach to its support of this nascent sector. Five hosted podiums also featured graphic wraps that further extended the branded look and feel of the main display and reflected Canadian strengths, including research, facilities, industry and programs.
