When Canada hosted the International Summit of Cooperatives in 2012, event organizers and the Canadian Co-operative Association sought to bring national awareness to the gathering and to the positive global impact of co-operatives. We responded with two features, including a robust eight-page special report that appeared several months ahead of the summit.

Building on that awareness we have subsequently explored the contribution co-ops make to the economic landscape in Canada. With The Globe and Mail’s 1.1 million readers daily, this report provides a tremendous opportunity to reach a highly engaged national audience.

Everyone here is very pleased. The .pdf works very well with all our communications vehicles. I’ve posted the report on our website, and shared through Facebook, Twitter and sent it out to dozens of people. A link to the .pdf will also appear in all our e-newsletters. We will be delivering print copies to all the MPs on Parliament Hill as well.
